4th J&K Premier League T-20 Tourney commences

JAMMU, Apr 2: Tawi Sports Club registered 9 wickets win over Youngstar Cricket Club (YCC) in the inaugural tie of the 4th J&K Premier League T-20 Tourney, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Club at GGM Science College ground, here today.
Batting first, YCC scored 106 runs for the loss of all wickets in 19.2 overs. Lalit was the top scorer with 31 runs, while Sachin and Mukul contributed with 24 and 11 runs respectively.
For TSC side, Nitin was the wrecker-in-chief with 3 wickets, while Tayab, Shubham and Surender took 2 wickets each.
In the second inning, TSC chased the target in 14.4 overs for the loss of just one wicket. Sarthak played a splendid inning of 43 runs and remained not out, while Somad and Nitin scored 31 and 16 runs respectively.
Irshad of YCC was the lone bowler, who managed to scalp one wicket.
Sarthak of TSC was adjudged as man of the match for his excellent batting performance.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Rajender Singh and Vinod Kandarya.
Earlier, the tournament was declared open by General Secretary, Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Club Shashi Paul in presence of Farooq, Amit Sharma and Happy Sharma, who were guests of honour on the occasion.
