JAMMU, Apr 4: United Cricket Club (UCC) registered 8 wickets win over Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) and entered into the next stage of the 4th J&K Premier League T-20 Tourney, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Club at GGM Science College ground, here today.
Batting first, YSCC scored 109 runs for the loss of all wickets in 19.2 overs. Rahul was the top scorer with 21 runs, while Shabbir and Vasu contributed with 20 and 14 runs respectively.
For UCC side, Sachin Kumar was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 5 wickets, while Mukul took 2 wickets. Sahil and Rahul pocketed one wicket each.
In the second inning, UCC chased the target in 13.3 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. Sachin played a splendid inning of 40 runs and remained not out, while Mukul and Sachin Kumar scored 37 and 11 runs respectively.
Arif of YSCC was the lone bowler, who managed to scalp one wicket.
The match was officiated by Rajinder Singh and Sanju as umpires, while Vinod Kandyara maintained the score card.
