KCCC, MNCC register big wins

JAMMU, Apr 8: Star-studded Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) and NMCC registered big victories in the ongoing Jammu & Kashmir Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Club, under the supervision of organizing secretary, Shashi Paul at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
In the first match, KCCC defeated Khalsa Cricket Club by 6 wickets.
Batting first, Khalsa Cricket Club scored a decent total of 151 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Vivek top scored with 40 runs, while Minkal and Nitin contributed 30 and 19 runs to the total respectively. For KCCC, Soumay Jain, Bandeep Singh and Suhail bagged 2 wickets each.
In reply, KCCC chased the target in 18 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Jatin Wadhawan top scored with unbeaten 53 runs, while Suryansh Raina and Vimarsh Kaw contributed 40 and 30 runs to the total respectively. Varun and Mannu claimed one wicket each for Khalsa Cricket Club. For his brilliant batting display Jatin Wadhawan was declared as man of the match.
In another match, NMCC thrashed International Cricket Club (ICC) by 38 runs. NMCC scored 147 runs in the allotted 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Kaka top scored with 40 runs, while Rahul Kumar contributed 33 runs to the total. Suhail and Malkeet Singh also chipped in with 18 and 14 runs respectively. Skipper Surjeet Singh was the pick of the bowlers, scalping 3 important wickets, while Hitest claimed 2 wickets.
ICC, In reply bundled out for 109 runs in 16.2 overs. Jagandeep top scored with 28 runs, while Arun Sharma, Surjeet Singh and Nipun contributed 17, 11 and 10 runs respectively. For NMCC, Malkeet Singh and Shallu took 2 wickets each, while Abhinav and Kaka claimed one wicket each. Kaka was adjudged as man of the match for his all-round show.
