Parveen guides YCC to crush Aircel XI by 60 runs

JAMMU, Apr 9: Three wickets haul and 41 runs off 29 balls by Parveen guided Young Cricket Club (YCC) to crush Aircel XI by 60 runs and to qualify for the next round of the ongoing 2nd Holi Cup T-20 Tournament at Phalian Mandial, here.
Batting first after winning the toss, YCC scored a modest total of 178 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Parveen was the top scorer with 41 runs off 29 balls, while Jagjet made 37 runs off 18 balls and Talwinder chipped in 31 runs off 30 balls.
For Aircel XI, Bhanu scalped 2 wickets by conceding 37 runs in his 4 overs, while Rakesh and Mohinder took one wicket apiece by spending 16 and 33 runs respectively.
In reply, Aircel XI gave befitting reply and tried to chase the target, but failed and bundled out at 118 runs for all out in 17 overs. Bablu scored 30 runs in 15 balls, while Sahil Sharma made 23 runs off 22 balls and Harjot contributed 20 runs in 16 balls.
For YCC side, Parveen bowled well and scalped three wickets by conceding 24 runs in 2.4 overs, while Jagandeep took 2 wickets by giving 8 runs in 3 overs.
For his brilliant overall performance, Parveen was adjudged as man of the match.
The match was officiated by Virender Singh and Sachin Singh as umpires, while Sumeet Kumar maintained the scorecard. The commentator was Sohan Bharti.
The tournament is being organized by Sachin Singh, Mukesh Sharma and Sunil Kumar under the chairmanship of Ankush Abrol, BCCI Member.
In the match, Sarika Singh, NC Leader was the chief guest, who along with Tejinder Pal Singh, Joint Secretary, Youth National Conference Jammu Province awarded the winning team and man of the match.
