Magical Satish’s 5-for takes RCC Srinagar to Baisakhi Tri-Series finals

JAMMU, Apr 13: Batting all-round and prolific run-getter in local tournaments, Satish Kumar wreaked havoc with his bowling today by plotting collapse of formidable Vishal Cricket Club as he took 5 important wickets in his spell of 4 overs, thus helping his team Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) Srinagar to seal berth in the finals of the 4th Baisakhi Tri-Series at Parade ground, here.
Satish, who is usually known for his batting, bowled with nagging line and teasing length to help his team bundle out the rival side for just 68 runs.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, RCC Srinagar scored a decent total of 148 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Openers Parveen Singh and Rhythem Mahajan scored 25 runs each, while Sandeep Singh, Sourav Chopra and Kuldeep Kumar contributed 18. 16 and 12 runs respectively. For Vishal Cricket Club, Rajesh Gill took 3 wickets, Sunil bagged 2, while Majid, Tayyab and Anchal claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Vishal Club collapsed at 68 runs, thus lost the match by 80 runs. Sunil and Anchal scored 19 and 11 runs respectively. Satish captured 5 wickets, while Sourav Chopra bagged 3 wickets and Hitesh Singh Thakur claimed one. Satish was adjudged as man of the match.
