Inzy wants more time to take decision

KARACHI, Apr 15:

Former captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has asked for more time for him to take a decision on the chief selector’s position offered to him by Pakistan Cricket Board.
An official in the Board confirmed to PTI that PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan had invited Inzamam to his residence and had a detailed meeting with him.
“Shaharyar has offered Inzamam the chief selector’s position and also agreed to some points raised by the former captain who is now head coach of the Afghanistan team,” the official said.
He said Shaharyar had agreed to give Inzamam considerable authority and also assured him of a suitable financial package since the former batsman is presently paid around USD 12,000 by the Afghanistan Cricket Board.
The official said Inzamam had told the PCB chief he had a contract with the Afghanistan Board until December this year.
“He has also asked for time so that he can speak to the Afghanistan cricket officials and reach an amicable agreement with them as he does not want to leave them in acrimonious circumstances,” the official said. (PTI)
