JAMMU, Apr 15: A friendly cricket match was played between PDP youth team and Media X1 team at Parade Ground here with an objective to ‘Say No To Drugs’.
The match was played in the memory of former Chief Minister, late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for his exemplary vision to promote sports in the State.
MLC Firdous Tak was the chief guest, while PDP leader Ashiq Hussian and senior journalist, Sohali Kazami were the guests of honour. The match was organized by Vikram Singh Youth PDP leader.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Media X1 elected to bat first. They scored a modest total of 123 runs in the allotted 16 overs. PDP youth team chased the target in 15 overs and won the match easily.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Tak said such events should be organized at district levels also with a motive to spread awareness about drug addiction and say no to drugs.
Chief organizer, Vikram Singh presented vote of thanks.
