REASI, Apr 18: Bhawan police arrested two thieves and recovered stolen cash from their possession.
As per police sources, a Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrim namely Ved Parkash, son of late Ram Aasan Singh of Uttar Pradesh lodged a written complaint with police station Bhawan stating that some unidentified persons have stolen Rs 2,000 cash from his clothes, when he went to take bath at Bathing Ghat.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 4/16 under Section 379 RPC was registered at Bhawan police station and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police arrested the thieves, who have been identified as Surender, son of Daya Ram and Pardeep Kumar, son of Ramesh Kumar, both residents of Uttar Pradesh. Stolen cash was also recovered from their possession.
Further questioning of the accused is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bhawan Inspector Rajesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Reasi Sujit Kumar.
