JAMMU, Apr 21: Two persons including a woman were killed today in separate road mishaps in outskirts of this winter capital of the State.
According to a police spokesman, a man identified as Santokh Singh (60) son of Attar Singh, a resident of Chadwal (Kathua) was seriously injured this afternoon when the truck bearing registration number PB06A-2697, which he was driving, got out of his control and fell into a deep nullaha near BSF Camp, Channi Rama.
“The injured driver was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors”, the spokesman said, adding a case in this connection was registered at concerned police station and further investigations were underway.
Meanwhile, a woman identified as Swarn Lata (55) of Arnia was killed on the spot due to head injury when she fell down from the bike on which she was travelling along with his son, Sunil Bral. The mishap occurred at Laswara in the jurisdiction of police station Arnia.
