KATHUA, Apr 24: A girl committed suicide at her residence in Ward No 17 (Makay Talab) Kathua this evening by hanging herself with a ceiling fan in one of the rooms of her house.
She has been identified as Reena Sharma, 24, daughter of Vikram Sharma. The Kathua police after getting the information took the dead body into its custody and later shifted it to DH Kathua for postmortem. The cause of her extreme step was not known. The Kathua police has started investigation. The body will be handed over to family after postmortem tomorrow.
The Police has registered a case under Section 174 RPC.
