Srinagar, Apr 28: Police today said it have cracked a theft case by arresting two burglars and recovered stolen items worth lakhs on their instance in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police spokesman said on April 15, the owner of Friends Mobile Care Shop at Rajpora Chowk reported to police that unknown thieves have intruded into his shop and decamped with the mobile phones along with a laptop.
“Accordingly an FIR under section 457, 380 RPC was registered and an investigating team was constituted under the supervision of SP Pulwama,” said the spokesman.
He said the investigation team acted swiftly and apprehended two burglars identified as Abrar Ahmad Yatoo and Zeeshan Farooq. “The arrest of these two burglars led to the recovery of stolen mobile phones and a Lap Top worth lakhs of rupees. Further investigation in this regard is going on and more recoveries and arrests are expected,” the spokesman added.
