ANANTNAG, Apr 29: In order to promote sports culture in the district, the Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed today inaugurated the T-20 G.M. Gilkar cricket tournament here at Government Higher Secondary School, Bijbehara.
The tournament was organized by Bijbehara Cricket Organization where teams from outside the Valley shall also participate.
The Deputy Commissioner, while addressing players, said that all pending issues of players will be solved very soon and facilities shall be created for co-curricular activities in the district.
On the occasion, legendry cricketer Abdul Quyoom Bagaw, Principal GHSS, Aijaz Ahmed Khan ,ARTO Anantnag, journalists, ex cricket players, members of different organisations and large number of students were present.
