Srinagar, Apr 29: Dru-gs and Food Control Department today issued a notice to all the bakers, mutton and chicken sellers wherein they have been warned to maintain the hygiene or face the music.
Assistant Commissioner Drugs and Food Control, Hilal Ahmad Mir, said all bakers, mutton and chicken sellers should maintain a proper hygiene including use of sieve, restriction of pests into their premises, installation of running water and use of stainless steel.
“The butchers should not expose meat to dust, flies and smoke and use only corrosion free knives and utensils,” he said, adding: “We have given them 10 days time after that violators will be penalized.”
