JAMMU, Apr 30: Zonal Level Inter-School Tournaments were in full swing at various zones, here today.
At Jammu zone, the Competitions were held at GGHSS, Canal Road and GGHSS Bakshi Nagar.
In volleyball U-17girls final Lawrence Public School beat GHSS Bazar Qassaba, while in Kho-Kho U-17 girls, HS Kachi Chawni beat Guru Nanak Public School, GGHSS Bazar Qassaba defeated BSF Paloura, GGHSS ,Canal Road trounced MIER. And SOSHGS outplayed GHS Resham Ghar.
The matches were officiated by Suraj Dev Singh, Ravi kumar Sharma, Narinder Sharma, Vishal Singh, Vineet , Alka Manhas, Arti Thakur and Anita.
The Department of Youth Services and Sports District Samba organized Inter School Zonal Level Cricket Tournament at Samba Stadium. Shivaji High School Sumb lost to GHS Sarna, HSS Sumb defeated National High School Samba, HS Rehian lost to HSS Boys Samba and HS Taloor lost to Lord Krishna High School Samba.
The official present on occasion were Anirudh Singh, Kulbir Singh, Bhopinder Singh, Zorawar Singh Sambyal, Raj Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Sumant Singh, Shashi Sambyal, Asha Rani, Sudesh Kumari and Seema Sharma.
Annual inter school competition of Nangali zone in the discipline of Kabaddi,Kho Kho, Volleyball and athletics organised by department of youth services and sports at Govt Higher secondary school Chandak.
The competition was declared open by vice Principal higher secondary school chandak Anju Rishi in a well attended function.
Two days Zonal Level Inter-School Competitions in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Wrestling for Boys & Girls in the age group of 14 and 17 years concludes at Pouni and Chassana Zones of District Reasi in which 319 Boys and 200 Girls of different educational institutions were participated with great sporting spirit and zeal.
In Zone Pouni, Principal Government Higher Secondary School Bansi lal Magotra was the Special Guest on the concluding function. While interacting with the female players, he laid stress upon need for the organization of more and more sports activities to boost their confidence to led a better life in society. Others present on the occasion includes Zonal Physical Education Officer Pouni Govind Singh, Ram lal, Anil Gupta, Sudesh Kumar Mattoo etc. While in Zone Chassana, Zonal Physical Education Officer Chassana Manohar lal and Zonal Physical Education Officer Reasi Om Parkash graced the occasion. The whole competitions were organized under the directions of Director General Youth Services & Sports Jahangir Mir and under the supervision of Dr SS Chib, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Reasi.
The matches were officiated by Pardeep Nag, Ashok Kumar, Tour Kumar, Pushkar Raj, Romesh Chander, Devinder Kour, Saroj Bala, Des Raj, Ravinder Kour, Opinder pal, Surinder Singh and Sukhwinder Singh.
Inter sschool tournament in the Sports Disciplines of Kabaddi & Kho Kho Girls U/14 & U/17 years concluded here at Govt. Boys High School Jammu cantt.
The tournaments are being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports as a annual calendar of sports activities for the years of 2016-17.
The tournament conducted under the chairmanship of Sh.Sukhdev Raj Sharma DYSSO Jammu & under the over all supervision of Smt Kiran Jyoti ZPEO Satwari.
In Kho- Kho U-14 Girls final, GHS Old Satwari beat St. John Convent by 10-05 point, while in Kho-Kho U/17 Girls final, St John Convent School beat St. Peter Karan Bagh by 9-5 points.
The matches are being officiated by panel of experts of Department of Youth Services and Sports which include Asa Singh, hardev Singh,Gurbachan Singh, Neeru and Ravinder Singh.
The Inter-School Competitions of RS Pura Zone concluded at Govt City Middle School, RS Pura. The Competitions were held under he overall supervision of DYSSO, Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma and Chander Kanta, ZPEO RS Pura. Headmistress City Middle School RS Pura, Madhu Bala was present on the occasion.
At Akhnoor Zone, the Competitions were held under the supervision of ZPEO Anju Bala, wherein Chander bBhag High School beat Government Girls Higher Secondary School Akhnoor in Volleyball Under-17 girls, while in Kabaddi Under-14 girls, GMS Sohal defeated St Francis Higher Secondary School Akhnoor by 14 points. Ashok Kumar Principal Government Girls Higher Secondary School Akhnoor was the chief guest on the occasion.
The matches were officiated by Ramesh Singh, Bua Ditta, Raman Kumar, Ganesh, Jagdev Singh, Chander Prabha and Banarsi Sharma.
At Bhalwal Zone, MHAC nagbani beat GMS Dhoomi in Kabaddi Under-14 girls final, while in Under -17 girls final, MHAC Nagbani defeatred Chenab Valley and in Kho-Kho Under-14 girls, GGHS Domana beat GHS Seri Panditian, while in Kho-Kho Under-17 girls, GHS Bathera defeated GHS Seri Panditian. The competitions were held under the supervision of Veena Tickoo, Zonal Physical Education Officer Bhalwal.
