RAJOURI, May 1: A rally was held today here at Bareri (Nowshera) in which thousands of PoK displaced persons (DPs) from different villages and blocks participated and castigated the brutal behaviour of both Centre and State Governments.
The rally which was held under the banner of SOS International, under the chairmanship of Rajiv Chuni discussed every new development on the part of Government. While speaking on the occasion, Chuni said that there is utmost need of getting united to give their struggle more impetus and show their strength to both thug Government in Central and State.
While speaking on the occasion, SOS International Chairman stated that now Central Government has followed the footsteps of State Government that has been deceiving us for the last seven decades.
“Before Modi led Central Government’s formation, the State Cabinet had approved a rehabilitation package for PoK DPs and sent to Centre for its implementation. The said approval merely required the nod of Central Government for its implementation but it was deliberately put it in cold storage”, he added.
Chuni further stated that it is not the fault of PoK DPs that till today, Government couldn’t vacate the land (PoK) from the illegal possession of Pakistan. “It is even not our fault that Government failed to provide much awaited help to us. We have been living in ultimate shabby conditions and misery and no one has extended helping hand towards us”, Chuni further said and added that his heart is filled with gloom and desperation as even after more than 2 years, Government failed to address issues of PoK DPs.
He further said that BJP has its Government both in State and Centre and there should not be any obstacle in taking the final call but keeping step-motherly approach towards PoK DPs is forcing SOS International to come in front to launch decisive struggle aagainst Modi Government.
The SOS International chairman made a fervent appeal to the community to gather under the umbrella of SOS International to launch a “do or die” battle in order to get justice to our demands.
