JAMMU, May 2: Provincial Power Employees Union (PPEU) today highlighted their demands in its meeting held here at Electric M&RE Division, Gandhi Nagar, under the chairmanship of Shakti Gupta.
The meeting which was largely attended by provincial as well as district leaders of the Union stressed upon the Government to accept their burning demands, which included release of 6% DA with effect from January 2016 in cash, amendment in SRO 381 of 1981 as per pattern of PHE Department Subordinate Services Recruitment Rules and convening of District Cadre DPC of District Kathua Class IV employees as well as helpers.
The speakers also highlighted other demands like revision of Pay Scale of PDD Clerical Staff as per pattern of nearby Punjab, Himachal and Haryana states, regularization of daily wagers who have completed seven years of service in the department and release of pending wages of the PDD employees.
They also stressed for creation of posts of Chief foreman/ Shift Engineer in PDD Subordinate Services Recruitment Rules as per pattern of neighbouring states like Punjab and Himachal Pradesh and providing of 5000-8000 Grade to PDD ITI holders.
The union threatened to go on strike if their demands were not fulfilled at the earliest.
