JAMMU, May 3: St. Mary’s Infant Pre School (SMIPS) organized its maiden Investiture Ceremony today, in which a promising bunch of tiny tots with immense potential and outstanding leadership qualities took a vow of allegiance.
The day was marked by multiple moments of amour propre as the deserving young leaders were vested with a new role to lead the school from the front.
The solemn ceremony to induct the council members for the academic session 2016-17 was graced by the valuable presence of Esther William, Principal, Alexander Memorial School and Mrs. Anna Mary, Chairperson of St. Mary’s Infant Pre School, who invested the new appointees with their positions of authority. School Principal, Mrs. Sheetal Anthony announced the names of the office bearers while Mrs. Esther William and Mrs. Anna Mary conferred the badges of onus and administered the ceremonial oath to the ebullient Council Members.
Adrian Raj Anthony – Head Boy, Harshit Meena – Deputy Head Boy, Siftpreet Kour – Deputy Head Girl, were amongst those gifted young pupils who took oath on the momentous occasion. The event also witnessed Arvind Angurana, Utkarsh Mahajan and Abheet Singh being bestowed with the positions of class monitors besides Arya Vansh Singh who was vouchsafed as the Line in charge.
Harshita Kour was felicitated for standing first in the LKG section while Divyanka Kumari was praised for securing second position and Adrian Raj Anthony was commended for bagging third position. In the nursery section, Manat Choudhary, Abheet Singh and Sabhaya Kashyap were rewarded for securing first, second and third position respectively.
The punctiliousness was followed by special performances by the tiny tots to celebrate the spirit of leadership and accomplishment. Young enthusiasts of SMIPS gleefully performed on various action songs and recited rhymes keeping in mind the rhythm, mood, diction and expressions which lulled the hearts of one and all.
Esther William extended greetings to the office bearers as well as the position holders on the occasion.
Addressing the tiny tots, Anna Mary dwelled upon the significance of the investiture ceremony in reinforcing the principle of discharging one’s duties with sincerity and passion.
The ceremony concluded with the national anthem.
