Self-styled leader arrested for fraudulently using HSS letter pad

JAMMU, May 5: A self-styled leader has been arrested for defaming an esteemed organization Hindustan Shiv Sena (HSS) by using its letter pad for threatening and blackmailing people.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Bimla Devi, wife of Kashmiri Lal, a resident of Nagrota with police station Nagrota stating that her real brother-in-law Subash Prasher, son of Ram Chand threatens and assaults her over some domestic issues.
She further stated that a case under FIR Number 91/16 under Sections 341, 323, 504 and 506 RPC also stands registered against Prasher at Nagrota police station, adding that he (Subash Prasher) also threatens her on the name of a esteemed organisation HSS.
A complaint on the letter pad of HSS was also submitted by Subash Prasher to Nagrota police station for registration of counter FIR against his family members.
During the course of investigation, when police got the verification done, it came to fore that Subash Prasher is not associated with the aforesaid organization.
“A letter received from HSS states that Subash Prasher is not a member of HSS and no designation has been given to him by the organization. He used letter pad of the organization for threatening and blackmailing people”, sources added.
Police team along with Tehsildar Nagrota also conducted raid in the house of Subash Prasher and seized letter pads of HSS, illegal stamps and other records.
After investigation and revelation by the HSS organization, Subash Prasher has been arrested.
A fresh case under FIR Number 100/16 under Section 420, 468 and 471 RPC has been registered at Nagrota police station against the accused and further investigation to nab the persons, who were supposed to misguide and provoke him (Subash Prasher) for indulging in illegal activities is going on.
