Mother’s Day celebrated with zeal, zest

JAMMU, May 6: Various  educational institutions celebrated Mother’s Day with great enthusiasm and fervour, here today.
RM Public School celebrated Mother’s Day with zest and zeal.
Chairman of the school, Rameshwar  Mengi was the guest on the occasion. A special assembly was organized on this occasion, wherein the students presented number of wonder dances. Card-Making competition was also organized after the assembly.
The winners of the Card-Making competition were awarded by chairman, Mr Mengi.
Trustee Rita Mengi and Principal Ravinder Kour applauded the efforts of teachers and the students.
G.D Goenka Public School Jammu governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust celebrated Mother’s Day, wherein Kindergarten section invited all the Mother’s of the students.
The Programme included a Kaleidoscope of events like singing and dance performances by the students, various games like Musical Chairs, catching the ball, blowing balloons, how well mother’s know their child etc. All the mothers participated enthusiastically and enjoyed to the hilt. There were prizes given to the winning mothers.
The main attraction of the event was ‘Like Mother, Like Baby” where the mothers and their children had worn identical attires. A Best Theme award was given to the mothers who wore the same attire as their kids. It was a different and unique concept where the emphasis was on having fun and connecting emotionally with the children.
Sunna Syal, the coordinator of the event thanked all for their support, their co-operation and help in conducting the activity.
The pre primary wing of the Kartar Public School celebrated Mother’s Day with zeal and enthusiasm.
Er Nirmaljit Singh , Chairman Kartar Educational Trust was the chief guest, while Harpreet Kour, Secretary and Ravinder Kumar, Vice Principal along with staff members were also present on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, Er.Nirmat Singh congratulated all the students and audience on and said that the most respectable relation of this universe after God is the mother.
Earlier while welcoming the students, mothers and local audience, Harpreet Kour said that KPS has decided to celebrate all important festivals, days and historical events for overall development of the students.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by  Kiran Salathia and the vote of thanks was delivered by Vice Principal, Ravinder Kumar.
