UDHAMPUR, May 7: Nine members of a family were injured when a Maruti van, they were traveling in, rolled down near Sudhmahadev, here today.
The injured included four children of a family from Sera Morh Latti. All the injured have been admitted in District Hospital Udhampur and their condition was stated to be stable.
The Maruti van, bearing registration number JK14-9198, was on its way from Latti to Chenani when it rolled 40 feet deep into a gorge at Dhan Khad near Sudhmahadev. A Police party from Sudhmahadev reached the spot and took the injured persons to SDH Chenani where doctors referred them to District Hospital Udhampur.
The injured were identified as Pooja Devi (6) daughter of Bansi Lal, Bablu Kumar (27) son of Bansi Lal, Gayatri Devi (50), wife of Bansi Lal, Romesh Kumar (23) son of Bansi Lsal, Rohit (3) son of Sansar Chand, Karan (5) son of Sansar Chand, Rakesh Kumar (17) son of Bansi Lal, Rekha Devi (25) wife of Sansar Chand and Aksha Kumar (6) son of Sansar Chand.
Meanwhile, two bike riders were injured in a collision of their bikes at Sangoor near Railway Station. Locals took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur. They were identified as Vijay Kumar (28) son of Shanker Dass of Garhi and Pawan Kumar (30) son of Pole of Omala Jakhani.
