JAMMU, May 7: Army Public School, Kaluchak celebrated Annual Prize Distribution Function with pomp and show in the School premises, here today.
Brig Arvind Yadav, Chairman of the School was the chief guest on the occasion.
Flt. Lt. Gobind Singh Rana (PVSM), Lt. Col. Prakhar Singh and Col. Dinesh Sharama (S.O. A.P.S Kaluchak) also graced the occasion with their presence.
The day commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest and the Principal, Hemlata Vishen. All the dignitaries were given warm welcome and honoured by bouquets.
On this occasion, students showcased their talent through various performances like Nukkad Natak, scintillating Sufi Qwali, Yoga performance, dance items, etc.
The English Play stole the limelight and Kalbelia Dance was a delight to watch.
After the cultural fiesta the meritorious students who have excelled in their respective fields like academics and sports were felicitated by presenting mementos and certificates.
The students of Scout and Guides Club who were recipients of Governor Award were also acknowledged and honoured on this occasion. Best teachers were also honoured for their dedication towards their profession. After the prize distribution Principal Mrs Hemlata Vishen addressed and applauded the students for their éclat performance.
Brig. Arvind Yadav in his address congratulated the school for organizing a commendable function and expressed his delight on being part of this colourful and spectacular morning. In the end, Vice-Principal Pushpinder Kour presented the vote of thanks.
Finally, the students enchanted the AWES Song and the programme culminated with the National Anthem amid cheers.
