DODA, May 7: Katoch Eleven and Combine Ghat registered their wins by beating Valley Warriors and Prince Eleven respectively in the ongoing All India 12th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2016 at Sports Stadium Doda.
The tournament is organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda.
Earlier in the first match, Valley Warriors after winning the toss set a target of 72 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 10 overs. Shifayat and Imran Zaffar scored 10 and 10 runs respectively. From Katoch Eleven, Maheshwar and Majul Singh shared 01 wicket each.
In reply, Katoch Eleven team managed to chase down the target in 9 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Avanish was the highest scorer who scored 16 runs while Babar contributed 15 runs for the team. From Valley Warriors, Ashfaq and Imran Zaffar shared 02 wickets each.
Later on Avanish of Katoch Eleven was declared as Man of the Match for his best batting performance.
In the second match, toss was won by Combine Ghat and while batting they set an traget of 86 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 10 overs. Suhail Tantray was the highest scorer who scored 41 runs while Junaid Khan contributed 10 runs for the team. From Prince Elevev, Sunny Singh and Sadam Dev shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, batsman of Prince Eleven could not managed to achieve the target and scored only 50 runs in 10 overs by loosing their 09 wickets. Babar was the highest scorer who scored 15 runs while Tanveer contributed 10 runs for his team. From Combine Ghat, Saleem Wani and Imran Tantray took 04 and 02 wicket.
Later on Saleem Wani was declared as Man of the Match for his best bowling performance.
The match was officiated by Aayush Sharma and Bharat Jajuriya and Munish Zutshi as umpires whereas Rinku Bhaduria act as scorer.
