JAMMU, May 11: The players continued to exhibit their talent in the ongoing Inter Zonal and School Level Championships, being organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports at different venues.
JAMMU: Inter Zonal District Level Girls Competitions for under-14 and 17 boys and girls in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-kho and Volleyball gets underway at Government Higher Secondary School Domana and Government High School Jammu Cantt.
In under-14 Volleyball final, Gandhi Nagar beat Khour by 2-0 set, whereas in under-17 category, Chowki Choura registered win over Marh by 2-0 sets.
In under-14 Kabaddi, Chowki Choura will lock horns with Bhalwal in the final tomorrow. Earlier, in the first semis, Chowki Choura beat Arnia by 33-23 points and in the second semis, Bhalwal smashed RS Pura by 48-32 points.
In under-17 Kabaddi, Akhnoor will take on Gandhi Nagar in the final tomorrow. Earlier in the first semis, Akhnoor thrashed Miran Sahib by 36-33 points, whereas Gandhi Nagar beat Chowki Choura by 31-30 points in the second semifinal.
In under-14 Kho-Kho, Akhnoor will face RS Pura in the final tomorrow. Earlier, in semifinal matches, Akhnoor beat Khour by 5-2 points and RS Pura crushed Satwati by 6-4 points.
In under-17 Kho-Kho, Dansal beat Khour by 8-7 points, Akhnoor routed Jammu by 8-3 points, Miran Sahib defeated Jourian by 2-0 points and Bhalwal registered win over Arnia by 6-0 points.
SAMBA: Inter Zone District Level Wrestling Championship commenced here today.
In 36 to 42 kg category, Gulshan Singh (Samba Zone) defeated Amrit Pal (Ramgarh Zone), in 42 to 46 kg category, Arun Singh (Samba Zone) smashed Sarabjeet (Ramgarh Zone), in 48 to 50 kg category, Younis Khan (Vijayour Zone) crushed Mohammad Sadiq (Purmandal Zone), in 50 to 55 kg category, Mohammad Razzaq (Vijaypur Zone) thrashed Rahul Singh (Ghagwal Zone) and Mushtaq Ahmed (Vijaypur Zone) defeated Anil Kumar (Purmandal Zone).
RAMBAN: Two days Inter School Zonal Level Tournament of Batote Zone concluded at GHSS Batote. Saif Ullah Shah, Naib Tehsildar Batote was chief guest while Ravinder Singh, Ex-Chairman Municipal Council was guest of honour on the occasion.
In under-17 Kho-Kho final, GHS Sanasar beats GHS Batote by 10 points, whereas in under-14 Kabaddi final, GMS Sawani smashed GHS Sanasar by 9 points.
KATHUA: Inter School District Level Tournaments for under-14 and 17 in the disciplines of Roll Ball and Roller Skating was held at Delhi Public School Rajbagh.
SAI International School Hiranagar lifted under-17 Roll Ball Trophy by defeating Mount Litra HSS Kathua by 3-0. In Roller Skating, Shivek, Ritik Varma and Vijitendyra secured first, second and third places.
