JAMMU, May 15: A Summer Cricket Camp for players between the age of 12 to 16 years was inaugurated today by Anil Mehta, patron of Parade Sports Association, here at Parade Ground.
This is the first cricket camp of its kind where a number of senior National level cricketers who are the active members of the association shall contribute their expertise and experience to groom the budding cricketers of Jammu.
In the camp both young cricketers and beginners shall get coaching, lectures for learning different techniques of fielding, bating, bowling and wicket-keeping from the senior experienced cricketers. Along with discipline and physical fitness, players shall be taught Yoga and Meditation techniques which are very important for their mental fitness.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Anil Kumar, general secretary, Parade Sports Association, briefed the activities of the association. Along with the players and their parents, the officials of the organizing committee of the camp were also present.
