SRINAGAR, May 16: Jammu and Kashmir’s Baseball player Rouf Ahmad Sofi from district Ganderbal has been selected in India team for the upcoming “Robur 58” International Baseball Series, 2016.
He has been selected after participating in three days long selection trials at Chandigarh organised by the Amateur Baseball Federation of India.
The said tournament is scheduled to be held at Apeldoorn in Netherlands, Holland from July 12 to 17.
Rouf has represented the State for 4 times in Senior National Baseball Championship as captain of the team in different States of the country.
Meanwhile, General Secretary of J&K Baseball Association Fida Hussain Fidvi has been nominated as Head of the Indian delegation during the said tour to the Netherlands by the Amateur Baseball Federation of India.
