JAMMU, Sept 18: Bharti Devi of Government College of Education Jammu claimed first place, while Bharti Sharma of Government College for Akhnoor and Anjali Jamwal of Department of Physics and Electronics bagged second and third place respectively in the Inter-College ‘Display Your Talent’ Competition, organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, here.
Meanwhile the certificates of merit were awarded to Anjuman Ayub of Government Women College Parade, Jammu, Manisha Sambyal of GDC Samba, Rimpla Kumari of Department of Commerce and Abhishek Aggarwal of the School of HTM, University of Jammu.
The students prepared multi-coloured Rangolies using flower petals, saw dust, rice and pulses and the glowing light of the earthen lamps added to the beauty of the Rangolies.
Lida Singh, the first Lady of the Campus was the chief guest on the occasion, who inaugurated the Competition by lighting of the ceremonial lamp in presence of Prof Jasbir Singh, Chairman Campus Cultural Committee Prof NK Tripathi, Dean Students Welfare and Prof Neeru Sharma, Co-Chairperson.
Shubra Kapoor, Sandhra Malhotra and Suresh Sharma were the Adjudicators, while Dr Samridhi Arora was the teacher incharge for Rangoli.
