Jammu Blue drubs Jammu Green by 25 runs

JAMMU, May 20: Jammu Blue defeated Jammu Green in a thrilling opening match of the J&K Junior Cricket League that began today at Hostel Ground, Government Gandhi Memorial Science College, Jammu.
Batting first, Jammu Blue scored 258 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in the stipulated 40 overs. Aryan Dogra scored 103 runs, Rhythm 81 while Nitesh scored 20 runs. For Jammu Green, Idrees took 3 wickets while Praful, Kahahiya and Ashwadan claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Jammu Green failed to chase the target and managed to score only 234 runs in 37 overs by losing all wickets and thus lost the match by 25 runs. Kanahiya scored highest 68 runs for the team while Idrees made 51 runs. Aarav Mahajan and Abdul Samad also added 22 and 23 runs, respectively to the total. For Jammu Blue, Rhythm, Karmany and Nitesh took 2 wickets each.
Aryan Dogra of Jammu Blue was declared as man of the match. The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Rajinder Singh as umpires while Sandeep Manchanda acted as scorer.
