Career counseling programme held

Srinagar, May 20: A career counseling programme was held at Government Higher Secondary Mukan in Handwara area of Kupwara district.
A police official said on directions from the district police head to carry forward the social responsibility initiative and to viaduct the gap between the Police Department and student fraternity, the career counseling program was organized in coordination to sensitize the young impressionable minds about various career opportunities and to create sense of ‘Dream to Achieve’ among the aspirants.
“Deputy Superintendent of Police Mir Gafoor was invited on the occasion who during interaction with the students shared his experience and knowledge of cracking State level civil services exam. During the program, apart from civil services, many other career options were also discussed and students were urged to dream big and start preparing for the prestigious exams to serve the community and the nation at large,” said the official.
The aspirants were requested to seek the support of various officials of the department for proper career guidance and were assured that such career-oriented programmes will be organized in future as well.
