Goc Dagger Division motivates Army aspirants

Baramulla, May 20: In consonance with its vision of youth engagement and empowerment, the Dagger Division took another step towards addressing the endemic problem of unemployment amongst the local youth.
Recruitment rallies for the youth of Kashmir Valley are slated to be held in the month of July 2016. To this regards, the Dagger Gunners under the guidance of the Dagger Division, has taken on the onus of conducting pre recruitment training for local youth of Baramulla District so as to facilitate their selection into the Army.
An outreach and mobilisation drive undertaken by Dagger Gunners has already identified approximately 180 aspirants hailing from all parts of Baramulla District.To motivate these young minds towards achieving success, Major General JS Nain, Sena Medal, General Officer Commanding Dagger Division addressed them at village Chandanwari.
During the course of his talk, the General Officer told the boys that they had taken the right step by choosing the noble profession of soldering and exhorted the youth to work hard and strive towards achieving their goals. While cautioning them against touts and unfair practices during recruitment drives, he also assured them that the Dagger Division would provide them all possible help right from facilitating their registration, providing a general health check up, conduct physical tests as well as preparation for written exams. Later on, the General Officer also interacted with the prominent personalities of the area. During the course of they requested for continuance of similar initiatives. The General Officer assured them that the Army would continue in contributing towards the larger objective of the country’s mission to reach out to the socially disadvantaged and empower them.
