JAMMU, May 20: Teaching staff, drinking water and sanitation facility in schools and improvement and restoration of road links was demanded by senior Congress leader and former MLA, Ashok Sharma, while addressing party workers during his three day tour of Tatapani, Dangri, Saranoo and Panjah of Kalakote assembly segment.
The demands included adequate teaching staff including subject teachers, making sanitation and drinking water facilities functional in all the schools in the light of Apex Court judgement, selection of already interviewed class IV candidates, appointment and joining of the selected teachers, fencing and plantation in schools, completion of school buildings, provision of Physical Education Teacher in primary and middle schools, increase of amount of per head mid-day meal, etc.
Road connectivity to uncovered areas, improvement of road conditions in various parts of Rajouri district, completion and construction of bridges at Sewa Jagir, Chakli, Androlla, Bal Jarrlian-Bindi, Chanwan, Panjnara, Loorkote and Panjah (Barsuian) was demanded by Ashok Sharma. Completion and re-building of Dak Bungalows at Kalka Methani, Chanaser Galla and Tatapani was also urged.
Prominent among those who joined the tour included MY Mugal, SR Khajuria, Kashmir Singh, Rameshwar Sharma, Arun Kumar, Pritam Sharma, Mohd Razak, Nazir Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed, Hans Raj, Sham Lal, Harsh Kumar, Ajay Sharma, Ghulam Qadir, Sanjay Sharma, CainLal and Kewal Krishan.
