15th Open Jammu District Fencing C’ship concludes

JAMMU, May 31: Two day long 15th Open Jammu District Fencing Championship, organized by District Jammu Fencing Association concluded at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
On the occasion, Satish, Manager, Indoor Sports Complex, MA Stadium, was the chief guest, who presented the medals to the winners in presence of MJ Sharma, president, J&K Amateur Fencing Association, UC Dingra, vice president of the Association and other members.
In Under-17 Sabre Boys, Rudra Pratap (JK Montessorie Fencing Club) and Karun Bakshi (JK Montessorie Fencing Club) bagged Gold and Silver medals respectively, while Siddant Raina (MA Stadium) and Praney Singh (JK Montessorie Fencing Club) shared Bronze medal.
In Under-17 Epee Boys, Vishal Kashyap (MA Stadium) and Rajbir Singh (MA Stadium) clinched Gold and Silver medals respectively, while the Bronze medal was shared by Saksham Gupta (JK Montessorie Fencing Club) and Sahil Kumar (MA Stadium).
In Under-17 Sabre Girls, Shreya (JK Montessori Fencing Club) and Sonali (JK Montessorie Fencing Club) bagged Gold and Silver medals respectively, while Nikita Mahajan (MHAC Nagbani) and Kritarthi Kotwal (MHAC Nagbani) shared Bronze medal.
In Under-17 Foil Girls, Riya Bakshi (JK Montessorie Fencing Club) and Simran Anand (JK Montessorie Fencing Club) claimed Gold and Silver medals, while the Bronze medal was shared by Gajal Suri (MA Stadium) and Preety Verma (MA Stadium).
In Under-17 Epee Girls, Sakshi Verma (JK Montessorie Fencing Club) and Arushi Sharma (MA Stadium) bagged Gold and Silver medals respectively, while Shamshed Bano (MA Stadium) and Muskan (MA Stadium) shared Bronze medal.
In Open Foil Boys, Ranvijay Singh clinched Gold medal, while Arun Kumar (GHSS Ghou Manhasan) bagged silver medal. The bronze medal was shared by Rabniwaz (MA Stadium) and Parth Jamwal (MA Stadium).
In Open Epee Boys, Ravi Sharma (MA Stadium) and Shubam Sharma (MA Stadium) clinched Gold and Silver medals respectively, while the Bronze medal was shared by Vir Sangram (MA Stadium) and Shubam Sharma (MA Stadium).
The matches were officiated by Ujjwal Gupta, Ajay Khatrol, Monika Sharma, Shottu Lal and Rachna Jamwal.
