Man attacked, cash worth lakhs looted

SAMBA, May 31: Unidentified armed miscreants today looted cash worth lakhs from a trader on gun point in Samba.
The incident took place at 6: 30 pm when a trader in a grey Swift car, was on his way to his house in Jammu. He was forcibly stopped by three motorcycle-borne miscreants and allegedly looted cash worth several lakhs at gunpoint from him.
The trader, Rakesh Sharma S/o Brij Nath Sharma, resident of Sainik Colony Jammu, was accosted by the assailants and robbed off before being fired. Before, Rakesh could scream for help, the miscreants overpowered him and fled with the bag. He suffered severe injuries and was rushed to the District hospital, he said.
The police team rushed to the spot and started investigation.
