UDHAMPUR, June 1: Udhampur Super Kings (children of jail staff) registered win over Jail Inmates team by 56 runs and won the friendly match held at District Jail Udhampur.
Jail Inmates team won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first, Udhampur Super Kings made 306 runs, which the Jail Inmates team failed to chase and bundled out at 250 runs in 15 overs.
On the occasion, Hilal Ahmed Rather, Superintendent District Jail Udhampur presented trophies, medals and certificates to the winning Udhampur Super Kings team and also presented certificates of participation to the runner-up team.
All the jail inmates assured and promised that they will never waste their time and will devote their maximum time in studies and playing games so that objective of the J&K Prisons Department for their betterment and welfare will be accomplished exclusively.
