SRINAGAR, June 1: Government has appointed Special Secretary Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Muzaffar Ahmed Wani as inquiry officer to ascertain the role of departmental officers/ officials and Law Officers of the Social Welfare Department/ Directorate of Social Welfare, Jammu in case titled Sureshta Devi Vs State & Ors. The inquiry officer would submit the report within one month.
It has been observed that the departmental officers/ officials and Law Officers of the Social Welfare Department/ Directorate of Social Welfare, Jammu have not filed the reply in time which resulted passing of adverse orders in the case.
The Minister for Law and Justice Abdul Haq directed that no State case should go unrepresented by the concerned, saying that reply should also be filed timely to avoid the passing of adverse orders.
