JAMMU, June 2: Directorate of Industries and Commerce organized a Capacity Building programme for functional and project managers here today.
Highlighting the importance of capacity building programme, Director Industries and Commerce Jammu, Rajinder Singh Tara said that these exercises are essential to acquaint officers with the day to day functioning and make them well versed with the rules and regulations of the department. It will also enable them to provide better assistance to the industrialists, entrepreneurs and MSMEs in the State.
Director said that this programme will also help in improving the ease of doing business and exhorted upon the officers to work in close coordination. He said that similar programmes will be organized on regular intervals for capacity building of the concerned officers . He said that it will also help in improving the performance of the department by adopting the innovative ideas floated by the participants during the programme.
During the programme, speakers discussed issues related to State Package as per New Industrial Policy, ease of doing business, land related issues, new industrial policy, issues with case studies related to toll exemption, additional machinery permission, change of constitution of land, de-registration of units, capital investment subsidy on plant & machinery and interest subsidy. Queries related to various issues raised by the participants were also responded by the resource persons.
Director Industries also distributed certificates to the participants and asked them to work with more zeal and dedication.
Among others, Joint Director (Development) Mohinder Singh, Joint Director (M&P) Mushtaq Ahmed, senior officers and participants were present in the programme.
