RAMBAN, June 2: State president, J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP), Balwant Singh Mankotia, today lambasted the State Government for ignoring the youth in the ongoing Railway project.
While interacting with local youth of Gool Sangaldan, during his one day tour of Gool Arnas Assembly Constituency, Mankotia revealed that despite the clear cut directions of State Government to provide 90 percent employment to the local people in the civil projects, M/s Age Patel Construction Company, a sub contractor of M/s Ircon International Ltd was deliberately ignoring the local youth in employment while majority of employment opportunities were given to the outsiders.
He added that it was a gross failure of the State Government to take punitive steps, as its directives were out rightly defied by these companies. He said that the people of the area had pinned high hopes with the construction companies of high repute that they would recruit the local youth in the civil projects but in actuality nothing happened.
Mankotia maintained that the people of Sangaldan were feeling cheated as these companies least bothered about the welfare of the local youth. He cautioned M/s Age Patel Construction Company that Panthers Party shall launch a full scale agitation against company if it continued its anti-youth policies and neglecting the locals in the employment.
The NPP State president was accompanied by Shakeel Wani, District president, Panthers Trade Union and Mangal Singh Katoch, District president, NPSU.
