UDHAMPUR, June 7: Police today arrested a bootlegger and seized 45 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession at Sudhm-ahadev, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Chenani.
Based on reliable information, a police party of PP Sudhmahadev, led by SI Khyati Maan Khajuria, intercepted one suspicious person who was walking near Sudhmahadev, Udhampur. During thorough search of that person, 45 pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from him. Police party seized the liquor and arrested the accused, who was identified as Kaku Ram of Haridwar Sudhmahadev.
A case under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered in this connection.
