STC continues winning spree, Kathua goes down fighting to BSF Red Demons

JAMMU, June 7: A fighting Kathua district were tamed by BSF Red Demons but not before they were given some anxious moments by their spirited opponents.
In the last match of the day, Kathua district, despite putting up a spirited performance failed to tame experienced side of BSF Red Demons, losing 39 -22.
Winners were led by Nirbhay and Abhisar who coordinated well to keep the game in their control.
In the other match, Jodhamal School beat Jammu district in a close match. Pallavi Bral put up a lone battle for the losers while Ankita, Danish and Antriksha contributed for the winners.
Earlier in the day, STC Warriors continued their winning spree defeating KC International 38-24, while STC Terriers beat JP world school 28-19. Rohan Sharma, Gourav Rajwal and Abhinav Sharma for STC Warriors were main scorers.
In another match, Jodhamal boys beat SOS school by 34-27. Harsh for the winners and Ayush for the losers contributed 10 points each.
Ranjit Kalra, Vice Chairman,  Sports Council Jammu was the chief guest in the evening matches.
The matches were officiated by Harpreet Singh, BFI referee, Gourav Malik, Vaneet Pangotra, Vinod Dogra, Rajesh Bhagat, Sumit Dogra, Ranbir Singh, Shubham Bhardwaj and Rajesh Bandral.
