JAMMU, June 9: Magnifi-cent inning of 81 runs by Chandan Sharma helped Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor to register 16 runs win over Street Warriors Akhnoor in a keenly contested first semi-final match and to seal berth in the final of the 34 Vishav Bandu Cricket Tourney at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Akhnoor.
Batting first after winning the toss, Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor made 184 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Chandan Sharma played a splendid inning of 81 runs, while Shanty and Sny made 32 and 15 runs respectively.
For Street Warriors side, Arush was the pick of the bowler with 4 wickets, while JV took 2 wickets.
In the second inning, players of Street Warriors tried to win the match, but failed and bundled out at 168 runs for all out in 19.4 overs. Rahul was the top scorer with 38 runs, while Dilawar made 32 runs and JP Singh chipped in 28 runs.
For Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor side, Sham Singh Langeh, Pankaj and Binny claimed 2 wickets each, while Sny and Sunil clinched 1 wicket apiece.
Chandan Sharma of Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor was declared as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Madan Lal and Ashu Mangotra as umpires, while Manik Sharma maintained the scorecard.
