JAMMU, June 11: Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu organized English Workshop on ‘Developing Effective Communication Skills’ devoted to the improvement of not only the teaching-learning skills of English language but also of building good relationships with other people both in education and at work place.
The workshop was attended by the English faculty from DPS Jammu, DPS Katra and DPS Nagbani.
The resource person was Maryann Vaisoha, Certified English Language Trainer from University of Cambridge and a teacher educator.
Principal Ruchi Chabra presented the welcome address and threw light on the role and importance of English teacher in understanding the existing diversities in the classrooms and channelizing these in the right direction.
The workshop focused on different brainstorming activities such as ‘Tell us about’, ‘Find Someone who’, ‘Feeling Bag’, ‘Backs to the Board’, ‘Word Ladders’ and ‘Interactive Dictation’. Overall, it helped the English teachers gain a larger perspective on effective communication.
Principal DPS Katra/ Nagbani Rajkumar and the Headmistress DPS Jammu Menu Gupta were also present on the occasion.
