Month long Open Summer Cricket Camp by Parade Sports Association concludes

JAMMU, June 12: Month long Open Summer Cricket Camp organized to groom the budding cricketers of the age between 12 to 16 years by Parade Sports Association concluded today. In the camp, 65 young players took part.
The camp was organized under the governance of two former Skippers of J&K Ranji Trophy Sanjay Sharma and Kavaljeet Singh. The camp commenced under the supervision of senior and reputed Ranji Trophy crickets Ranjit Bali, Harsh Nayyar and Randhir Singh. Ram Dayal, another reputed Ranji Trophy cricketer of J&K also joined to give expert tips of bowling to the young and budding bowlers attending the camp.
Pawan Kumar Gupta, Organizing Secretary along with Amarjeet Singh and Kapil Dev Mahajan worked hard for the success of this venture.
Medical check-up of all the players was conducted by senior Ayurvedist Dr Anil Kumar Mahajan and necessary advice was given to all the participants for proper maintenance of their health. A list of Do’s and Don’t regarding diet and routines for the players to be observed was provided to each player. Required lab investigations, which were advised by the doctor, were carried out by Lab Technologist Sanjay Bali.
During the camp, 3 sessions of Yoga and Meditation were organized by the Yoga expert of Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan, in which players learned and practiced different Yoga and Meditation techniques for development of their mind and body. Applied techniques of Physiotherapy were detailed by the expert Physiotherapist Dr Karn Nayyar.
All the players were provided a certificate for their successful attendance in the camp along with smart sport shirt having logo of Parade Sports Association by Romesh Pargal and Anil Mehta, Patrons of the Association in presence of Desh Rattan Dubey, Chairman of the Association, Ex-Ranji Trophy Skipper of J&K Sanjay Sharma, Ex-Ranji Trophy players Ranjit Bali, Pardeep Bali, Harsh Nayyar, Randhir Singh Jamwal, and Akshay Khajuria and senior executive members of the Association.
Pawan Kumar Gupta, Organizing Secretary informed that this was a very expensive venture, but all the material, coaching, training, medical check-up, lab investigations, physiotherapy guidance and other facilities were provided free of cost to the players for which all the members of the association contributed.
Earlier, Dr Anil Kumar Mahajan, General Secretary of the Association presented the welcome address and detailed the activities of the association and Summer Cricket Coaching Camp, while Sanjay Sharma, Senior Vice President and reputed Ex-Ranji Trophy, Skipper of J&K discussed cricketing techniques and presented vote of thanks.
