SRINAGAR: Additional Director General of Police (Security) Dilbagh Singh today briefed Governor N N Vohra about the security management in the State, particularly arrangements made for Amarnath Yatra commencing from July 2.
The meeting comes in the backdrop of an increase in militant attacks in Kashmir valley over last fortnight. An official spokesperson here said Mr Singh met the Governor at Raj Bhavan here.
“The Additional Director General of Police (Security) briefed the Governor about the security management in the State, with particular reference to the arrangements for the pilgrimage to Amarnath Shrine,” he added.
The 45-day-long yatra to Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalaya will commence from July 2. (AGENCIES)
