JAMMU, June 18: Tanishta Club Jammu outclassed Market Club Jammu by 5 wickets and registered berth in the next stage of the ongoing 8th Pawan Memorial Cricket Tourney, being organized by Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor and AYC Akhnoor at Government Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor, here.
Batting first, Market Bulls made 14446 runs by losing all the wickets in 19.4 overs. Vinay Manhas chipped in 34 runs off 26 balls, while Rahul Sharma made 21 runs in 15 balls and Nadeem scored 18 runs in 20 balls.
For Tanishta Club side, Vishavjeet Singh scalped 3 wickets, while Kuldeep and Satish shared 2 wickets each. Akash, Raman Dutta and Aman took one wicket apiece.
In the second inning, Tanishta Club Jammu chased the target in 18 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Harsh was the top scorer with 42 runs in 32 balls, while Satish scored 33 runs in 26 balls, Puneet made 29 runs in 9 balls and Jatin chipped in 27 runs.
For Market Bulls side, Sahil, Vinay Manhas, Narinder and Anchal took one wicket apiece.
Satish of Tanishta Club was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Rajinder Sharma and Vikas Bali as umpires, while Ashu Mangotra maintained the scoreboard.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Muthi Cricket Club will lock horns with Singh Bataira at 8 am.
