Binny guides Singh Baba Talab to crush RCC, registers berth in semis

JAMMU, June 25: Magnifi-cent 76 runs off 40 balls and three wickets haul by Binny guided Singh Baba Talab to crush Rajouri Cricket Club (RCC) by 74 runs and to register berth in the semis of the ongoing 8th Pawan Memorial Cricket Tourney, being organized by Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor and AYC Akhnoor at Government Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Singh Baba Talab made a magnificent total of 212 runs for the loss of 8 overs in allotted 20 overs. Binny smashed some crispy shots and chipped in 76 runs off 40 balls, while Ankush made 42 runs off 21 balls and Kavi scored 25 runs in 11 balls.
From RCC side, Gurnam Singh bowled well and took 4 wickets, while Kapil, Jubair, Sachin and Rashpal shared one wicket each.
In the second inning, RCC failed to chase the target and bundled out at 138 runs for all out in 17.3 overs. Irfan played a splendid inning of 54 runs in 30 balls, while Rizman and Gurnam scored 29 and 17 runs respectively.
From Singh Baba Talab side, Happy, Lablu and Binny scalped 3 wickets each while Vikram took one wicket.
Binny of Singh Baba Talab was adjudged as Man of the Match for his all round performance.
The match was officiated by Dayal Singh and Vikas Bali as umpires, while Ashwani Mangotra acted as scorer.
The tournament is being organized under the overall supervision of Sham Singh Langeh, President, Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor.
