Ranjit, Tuffail, Arun emerge winners in debate competition

JAMMU, June 25: Jammu Police Headquarters organized debate competition on “Human Rights Issues” for the J&K Police personnel at District Police Line (DPL) here.
Dr Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu was the Chairman of the debate competition and the judges of the competition included Suresh Sharma, CPO High Court Jammu, Rajesh Gill, CPO NHRC Jammu and Gourav Mahajan, DySP DAR Jammu.
During the inaugural session, Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecution Officer stated that this annual feature titled “Debate Competition on Human Rights Issues for the State Police Force” is a step forward to make every police personnel aware about the human rights and its allied issues.
The judges adjudicated the participating speakers on the basis of their presentation, vocabulary, fluency, content and argumentative skills.
The debate was concluded with the announcement of the results in which SI Ranjit Singh was adjudged as winner, SI Tuffail Hussain as first runner-up and Ct Arun Kumar as second runner-up.
The top two positions at this district level competition qualified for the range level competition, which will be organized under the supervision of DIG Jammu.
In the end, vote of thanks was presented by Gourav Mahajan, DySP DAR Jammu.
