JAMMU, June 25: White Cricket Club (WCC) and Market Bulls Cricket Club (MBCC) smashed rivals in their respective matches and sailed into the next stage of the ongoing 1st Summer T-20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Lieutenant Thakur Dass Cricket Club Akhnoor, at GGM Science College hostel ground, here today.
In the first match, WCC registered 4 wickets win over Lion Star Cricket Club (LSCC). Batting first, LSCC made 160 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Amit was the top scorer with 33 runs, while Vineet and Yashpal made 24 and 17 runs respectively.
From WCC side, Surinder, Sunil, Vishal and Rohit scalped 2 wickets each.
In reply, WCC chased the target in 17.4 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Surinder played a magnificent inning of 56 runs, while Sheeru and Rajesh scored 39 and 27 runs respectively.
From LSCC side, Jimmy scalped 2 wickets, while Rohit took one wicket.
Surinder of WCC was adjudged as Man of the Match.
In the second match, KC Sports Club lost to Market Bulls Cricket Club (MBCC) by 12 runs.
Batting first, MBCC made 128 runs for all out in 19.5 overs. Prince made 35 runs, while Yasir scored 22 runs.
From KC Sports Club side, Ateev Saini scalped 3 wickets, while Rocky, Ishaan and Rohen took 2 wickets each. Tanmay clinched 1 wicket.
In the second inning, KC Sports Club collapsed at 116 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Suryansh made 30 runs, while Tanmay and Rohen scored 22 and 16 runs respectively.
From MBCC side, Narinder and Anchal took 2 wickets each, while Sahil, Viney and Aman took one wicket apiece.
Prince of MBCC was declared as Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Madan Lal, Prince and Rajinder Singh as umpires, while Sandeep Manchanda maintained the scorecard.
