KATHUA, June 27: The inhabitants of Ward No 2 and surrounding areas of Kathua held a protest demonstration and blocked college road for over one hour in protest against the power failure in the area.
The protestors raising slogans against the PDD and Government said that they have failed to ensure proper power supply. They said the transformer developed a snag in the area and despite many pleas the authorities failed to replace the transformer.
They alleged power failure has been a common problem in the area and demanded immediate restoration of power supply.
Later the road blockade was lifted on the intervention of SHO Kathua and other officers.
