JAMMU, July 5: Flaying State Government for introducing new token system for registration in Jammu, State president, Shri Ram Sena (SRS), Rajiv Mahajan, said that this step of Government is only for harassing Amaranth pilgrims by one way or other.
Talking to reporters here today, Rajiv Mahajan said that this is first time under BJP regime in the Centre and State when such a system was introduced which is against the hassle free spot registration facility for the pilgrims.
He said that tokens are being provided to the pilgrims at Sangam Banquet Hall near Jammu Railway Station along with registration form, medical form, information brochure and instruction manual while for further registration they have to visit registration counters at Vaishnavi Dham and Sarasvati Dham at Railway Station and Mahajan Sabha Community Hall near Ranbireshwar Temple at Shalamar road.
He said just like previous years on the spot registration with medical checkup should be provided to pilgrims at Haat near Exhibition Ground so that pilgrimage may be taken out smoothly without harassing pilgrims.
He also asked district administration to ensure 24 hours power supply, water supply, cleanliness, security and sanitation at the places of stay of the yatris.
