SAMBA, July 7: A Government employee has been arrested for raping minor girl, when she was alone at her home.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by family members of a minor girl hailing from village Badheri of Nankechack with police post Supwal stating that their minor daughter has been sexually assaulted by a Government employee identified as Raj Kumar (55), son of Chano Ram, a resident of same village.
Acting over the complaint, a case under relevant Sections was registered at Samba police station and investigation started.
The girl was handed over to family members after completing medical examination and hunt was launched to nab the accused.
On specific information, police team conducted raid and arrested the accused.
Further investigation into the case has been started.
