JAMMU, July 11: Expressing grief over the loss of precious human lives in Kashmir Valley during the protests after the killing of banned outfit commander, Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta has said that dialogue is the universal solution to every problem.
In a press statement, issued here today, the Speaker appealed the civil society and leaders of different political as well as non political parties to come forward in this hour and work in tandem to defuse this situation. He said that the people irrespective of their organizational affiliation should work collectively to bring back the normalcy in the State.
The Speaker said, “The tourist season which took off on a good note and with high hopes, not only for the people related to this sector but also for the State Government, is suddenly getting disturbed because of strikes and agitating youths, which will only add to the miseries of the common man.”
He added that the smooth and safe conduct of Amarnath yatra would work as a game changer and the message of brotherhood and hospitality would not only travel the length and breadth of the country but also across the nations.
“Hitherto dialogue remained the universal solution to every problem and the initiatives taken by our former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in restoring confidence among the people have been taken forward by the incumbent Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the State Government is also committed in bringing back normalcy in the State and making cordial relations with the neighbouring country is also high on its agenda”.
Kavinder Gupta said that the amnesty scheme for the youth booked in Kashmir during protests and the ones booked during Amarnath land row in Jammu is a welcome step and the Government is well aware of the issues involving the youths and it is working positively for addressing the same.
He also appealed the youth and their parents to hold their nerves and don’t pay any heed to the unnecessary provocation by some vested interests and set an example by working constructively for the society.
